Processes for a Geographical Study is a project which try to reach the iconography of the sublime and link to the concept of andscape, through different experiments on photographic matter. The works is made of image but also sculptures and installations. These experiments result of different processes, all related to the photographic practice.

It is initially a graduating work within the framework of a technical formation in photography. However, I see it as an emancipation, an abandonment of the technical mastery and determined control related to the photographic medium, and this in the idea of letting chance, error and the not-determined come to make visible what is not.

Processes for a Geographical Study est un projet qui tente d'atteindre l'iconographie du sublime liée au paysage à travers diverses expérimentations sur la matière photographique. Il convoque aussi bien l'image que la sculpture et l'installation. Ces expérimentations résultent de procédés divers, tous liés à la pratique photographique.

Il s'agit initialement d'un travail de fin d'étude dans le cadre d'une formation technique de photographie. Je le vois pourtant comme une émancipation, un abandon de la maîtrise technique et du contrôle déterminé lié au medium photographique, et ce dans l'idée de laisser le hasard, l'erreur et le non-déterminé venir rendre visible ce qui ne l'est pas.
